I have to admit I was not inspired until later that day I saw Ana Galvan's Alien Abductions on the Juxtapoz blog.

Supernovas, black holes and things being sucked into them - Zach
Zach happened to be reading some books on the subject and he was fascinated by it. This reminded me of The Black Hole the movie. My brothers and I LOVED this movie. We watched it over and over.
Knees with Faces - Max
While "knees with faces" might seem somewhat odd, if you have seen my other work you will know that I pretty much put faces on whatever I can get away with. And I pretty much see faces in whatever I look at. I wonder if this is an inherited disorder?

Snowmen playing sports-Zach
Ok, there are surprising ALOT of snowmen playing sports, so the challenge here is how to make it different. I'm thinking...
"Hunting Holiday" - Max
Hunter's Holiday by Max Kasuba
"A cat, 2 dogs and a horse have a holiday where they go into the forest to capture all things that will harm them. Whoever captures the least amount of enemies can't join the holiday again until they are grown up."
Below is the sketch followed by the final artwork.

So the first request from Zach was Dinosaurs. I hoping to go beyond just sketches, but I am not sure where this blog is going to take me yet...

The Beginning
Meet Zach and Max and Me! As for the Me, I am Terri Fry Kasuba. An illustrator, designer and wife and mother. Zach and Max are my 2 sons. I wanted to do a project that would be a be personal to me and give me an assignment to do everyday. Both Zach and Max loves stories. Zach loves reading them and Max loves telling them. And I love drawing them. So every night they will give me a word, a story or any idea which I have to do an illustration for by the end of the next day. I am hoping to spark everyone's imagination and to continue this project for a whole year.
